*** AUCKLAND TRIP - DAY 1 ***

thinking back..it was really random when me n wyne decided to go to akl. Aik win suggested one day n the nex day both of us had started to look for cheap air ticket to akl.. lol..v miss the grab a seat promo for air nz which is so cheap ---> $ 47 dollar one way...by the time v are fixed with our decision, the tickets has been sold out...so v faster grab the 2nd cheapest ticket, which is the pacific blue air flight which cost $69 one way... =)

on the 18th ' morning, we intend to take the 6.15am airport flyer bus to airport, but just by one seconds difference, v miss the bus! aiks! so v hav no choice but to wait for the next bus which is estimated to be on 6.45am... v waited at the bus stop infront of new world metro...

Me with luggage~*

At the mean time of waiting, self-shooting is both our must-to-do stuff =)!

Around 7am sharp, we hav reached the Wellington airport!

before goin into departure hall~*

The flight took about an hour to reach auckland. so,around 9am, here we are...at auckland, the busiest city of NZ, which is so similar to KL city. After taken our luggage, wyne & I took the airbus to get to Sarah's accomodation. On the way, the bus passed by somewhere i found interesting, a cat practice's hse! hehe i nvr tot got such service available...cool huh? hehe

Luckily, the bus driver is very friendly. When he asked me which street i wanna get down, i just get so lost coz i hav no idea...but i just knew Sarah told me to get down in front of diagnostic lab and somewhere around starbuck...That is wat i told the driver.. he dint get mad at me, yet he oso help me to look out any lab along the route..so sweet of him=) After he noticed the lab n starbuck, he let me know n dropped us along symond st.

in front of St. Paols' church~*
At symond st, I saw this church which is opposite the road looks wonderful, so i decided to take a pic of that =) i know i m really random here...hehehe

then, i notice stg at this brother's office building which is a few building nex to the church. can u see those 3 ppl were cleaning the window of the building? sounds interesting isnt it?

The next moment, We saw Sarah coming down our way! We were so hapi to meet up again! =D She brought us to her hall of residence...i think her accom was really good! it has nice environment n really friendly ppl from all over the world. she introduced us to all her port mate as well as the floor mates! really sweet of them=) n i can feel their tight friendship bond among them... Sarah treated us garlic bread b4 bringing us to the city. So cute of her..she dunno how to use the oven to heat up the bread n ask for help from her fellow floormates..haha
anyway, after waited her to dress up, she brought us to the nearest shopping street, the queen st..

in front of the sky city cinema, the civic centre next to it...really cool buildings!

wooo~ the 1st impression u walk along the street, u dont feel u r at NZ coz the whole street is fulled of asians, especially korean n jap...so many of them! the whole street is full of shops, shops n shops..a shopping paradise indeed! wyne & i were excited about this since v r alwiz the 'shopping queen' ...haha =)

There are lots more variety available! although there is the usual ones like Glasson, supre n valley girl, amazon, Queen st. has dotti, lippy, portman, gucci, LV, the $3 shop & alot more those small chain outlet like those shops at sg wang at KL... It's completely different from Wellington as all of the shops are there n i will guarantee u shop till u broke! We just popped in a few b4 v headed for lunch. In term of foods, hoo! there are alot alot of choices too! Sarah brought us to Mentatz, a japanese noodle restaurant at Lorne Street. I ordered Katsu Don, a pork kind rice..yummy yummy! while wyne & sarah ordered spicy ramen! i feel that the restaurant is quite similar to the Ramen shop at Sunway Pyramid.

Tasty Katsu Don @ Mentatz restaurant~*

After lunch, Sarah left us to shop around while she went back to meet her frenz for some urgent stuff. Even though Sarah was at akl almost about a year, she is still so blur about the road n she was abit lost where she dunno where to bring us too..haha..probably she is too bz with her medic course till no time to explore around the city. We told her we will be fine n we can rmb the road back to her accom..she is really surprised! haha

There are lots lots shops around that we cant stop looking at one by one...Me n wyne began our shopping adventure after... shop shop n shop = promise fun fun n fun hehe

There is this shopping arcade where each outlet selling unique style of attire...looks classy ae?

There is this lovely butterfly table lamp which i like, so i decided to take a pic with it! hahaha

Taken in random with a lady who will be performing at the " chinese spectacular" 神韵晚会 show...

Not only these various shops, there are alot more asian mart around...i think among my favourite will be the huge korean mart along the wakefield st and the $3 shop, a japanese shop which sell all kind of stuff from cosmetic to housing appliances with only 3 dollar for each item.

Around 5pm, me n wyne stopped by an ice-cream shop for dessert delight. We went into a shop named Ice-cream delight and ordered an ice-cream. v decided on 2 scoop ==> maple fudge& walnut and passionately cheesecake flavour, topped with caramel syrup plus almond n lychee jelly at the top..tada..that is our yummy ice cream which cost at $5.50.cheap!

We headed back Sarah's accom, get a bath b4 meeting with my bro's frenz, May ching at 7.30pm. That is so sweet of meeting her since she has make up her time to meet me up even though she is such a bz doctor. Wyne went along. Her partner be the driver of that night. We headed to Syvlia Park for dinner. Syvlia Park is so like The curve in M'sia. its a huge shopping mall with almost all the shops. I bought a white handbag from Equip while May Ching bought shoes from Hush Puppies.=) Next, we headed Casablanca for dinner. It has romantic atmosphere serving Mediterranean food. The place is nice, the price lagi nice! 1 meal costs about 21 dollar...oh gosh so paiseh to let May Ching treated us such exp meal... she insisted the treat so there is ntg i can do but to say so many tqs'... I ordered this Black Sea Chicken meal recommended by May Ching. 1st time i tried on this eastern dish n I think it taste nice plus it serve in such big portion! its filling~
