during the dance...that is the only pic taken..:p
After the first slot of Malaysian performance, since its still early for me for another round of performance, wyne & I decided to go out jalan-jalan, to cari makan n feel the heat! hehe we decided not to change our Datun Julut costume too n I think our decision is right. As we are walking around the place, in a way we are promoting Malaysia too. Our costumes are too colourful to caught the attention of most of the crowd. Many people did approached us n complimenting on our charming costumes... for this, credit should be given to Abg Rudy n the Sarawk govt=)
there is this cute lil gal request to hav a touch on our costumes, so v decided to take a pic with her...*grins*
What unexpected was we met the high commissioner in random. he was really hapi that he finally got the chance to see the beautiful outfits posted from m'sia.
As a way to showcase this lovely Malaysia costumes, he even requested two of us to walk in front of the vips during the formal opening parade, ushering the NZ minister to the stage..*wink wink* well, at this point, I felt blessed n proud.
While waiting for the food for dancers to come, Wyne & I were so eager to try out other countries food as well. we wanted to buy cendol & ABC but the queue is so looonngg~so end up v bought a slice of kavana cake from Indo, 2 chic vietnam roll, 1 cecodok, n thai green curry. kavana cake looks yummy but was abit tasteless whereas thai green curry taste turn out to be delicious ;)
the group pic of chinese dancers - wyne,me, dali, iqa, yuyu, iynas, ida n najwa - good job gals!
We caught a glimpse on thai dancers..i like the head gear they are wearing...hehe
third slot of dance began with the energetic contemporary dance - Arus at 9pm. Although i did not got the chance to join into, but still Arus is my all time favourite =)
Right after the multicultural performance, its time for the fashion show. Each country has their own beautiful models wearing their traditional costumes. I m glad to be part of it. Thanks iynas for that ;) The m'sia representatives - we have wyne & iqa wearing traditional sabah n s'wak costumes while me n poki wearing baju kebaya n bj melayu. although there is some similar traits between our costumes with other countries, but thankfully there is not exactly the same one. All models have been elegantly on stage. I m sure we, as the m'sia model did our best too! we are proud to be the beautiful Asians =))

Although I was tired at the end of the day, being part of it is such a bless for me..
Bravo to all dancers who hav work hard to put up a good show=) the time n effort v spent on practicing, refining the steps, all hav contribute to a good performance! Thanks to the cultural committee, Iynas, Palie & Ila for their commitment for managing the event successfully. Not to 4gt, sincere thanks to Abg Rudy who has sacrifice so much from cheoreographing our dance till preparing all our costumes and accesories back in m'sia.. Much appreciated=) we were sori for some of the silly mistake in wearing the costumes for zapin rajuk dancers...hehe we will ensure there will be no mistake on m'sian nite.
Thanks to Elun for all the wonderful pictures! n to Wan Ling for video-ing all the m'sia performance! tq so much~ to those who hav helped out, being the volunteer n helper at the bckstage, those who opened up the food stalls n those hav participate in the traditional games, good job! we hav make m'sia proud ;)

both of you looked absolutely FANTASTIC and GORGEOUS in the outfit!
You know, I always think, for students like us, how do we ever contribute back to the country?
This is one way. To promote your country and always make your country proud by the way you lead your life!
I'm glad to see you actively involved in WMSO
and All the Best in the upcoming Malam Malaysia.
I know you've put in loads of effort, but trust me, it'll all pay off real soon :)
Cheerios and love always from Canberra! :)
